Marie Rose sauce is a British dressing, popularized by the British TV chef Fanny Cradock in the 1960s when she served it with Prawn Cocktail. I haven't been able to find out where the name comes from, so let's just accept it. 😊
Marie Rose dressing consists of mayonnaise, sour cream, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, a bit of lemon juice, and preferably a splash of brandy. The dressing is very similar to American Thousand Island dressing, but it is made without finely chopped pickles.

Marie Rose dressing is not only suitable for Prawn Cocktail but is also good to serve with crab meat and other seafood, such as salmon. The dressing also goes well in a burger or as a dip for fries.
Ingredients:
♥ 1 dl mayonnaise
♥ 1 dl sour cream
♥ 2 tbsp ketchup
♥ 1 tbsp brandy
♥ 1 tbsp squeezed lemon juice
♥ 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
♥ ground salt and pepper
Instructions:
Mix the ingredients together.
Adjust the taste as needed, for example with more lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

Tips:
♥ You can of course omit the brandy in the dressing, but in a classic Marie Rose dressing, it's included! 😊
